Victory’s Beer Fans Gear Up  for the Ultimate Ride with New Cage Radler
Light, Refreshing Lager Raddles Your Cage on May 1

Downingtown, PA, April 15, 2016 - Victory Brewing Company (Victory) invites their beer loyalists to pedal along on their latest adventure with the announcement of Cage Radler. This light, thirst-quenching lager with a lemony twist serves as a smile and a nod to outdoor enthusiasts and beer lovers alike that the warm weather is here meaning one thing: it’s playtime. The radler, Victory’s newest creation and an ode to the German word for ‘cyclist’, blends a light lager with lemons, resulting in a clean, crisp and thirst-quenching taste.
“Addressing our consumers' thirst for quality and innovation is our pleasure and we expect to deliver plenty of summertime pleasure with this release. Ready to enjoy with all outdoor activities, Cage Radler, delivers quenching flavor and on-the-go convenience with cans as well as bottles,” said Victory’s President and Brewmaster, Bill Covaleski.

Radler, the German word for ‘cyclist’, came about on a warm June day in 1922 when Franz Xaver Kugler, the owner of a Bavarian inn, was running out of beer while his bar was occupied by thirsty, demanding cyclists. Thinking on his feet, he added lemon-lime soda to dunkel lager and the tasty result became fondly forever known as the radler.

Today, radlers commonly consist of half-fruit soda, half-beer and are still popular among active drinkers who crave a refreshing, low alcohol beverage on their journey. The perfect toast to spring and summer, Victory’s Cage Radler is made with all natural ingredients. It pours a golden, lemony yellow with an inviting white foam on top. Slightly hazy and entirely rejuvenating, it features fresh, effervescent citrus combined against a light, yet flavorful, body while carefully balancing sharp notes of lemonade and citrusy zest with earthy, grainy characters. Containing Tettnang Mittelfrueh hops and pilsner malts, this good vibe beer also has an easygoing ABV of 3.0%. With the low ABV but intense tanginess, the radler is ideal for cooling down post-activity and can be best enjoyed outside.

Available throughout Victory’s 37 state distribution footprint, Cage Radler’s suggested retail price for a 6 pack of 12 oz. cans is $9.99 depending on location and is also available on draft. Cage Radler will also be one of two new offerings included in Victory’s Summer Selection’s Variety 12- Pack. Use Victory’s  Beerfinder to fill your bicycle basket with Cage Radler.

Colorado Welcomes Perrin Brewing Company to Craft Beer Scene

Michigan's Perrin Brewing selects first out-of-state market bringing cans and draft for Colorado distribution.

Comstock Park, MI - Located just off the beaten path in Comstock, MI, Perrin Brewing has earned a cult like following with beer drinkers that until now have been confined to the Grand Rapids area. Beginning next week, that beer is headed to Colorado.

The burgeoning brewery's buzz stems from head brewer, John Stewart's, sought after and award winning creations initially only available at the Perrin brewpub.  Perrin's reputation within the strong Michigan craft beer scene led to a near ubiquitous draft launch across the state driving the brewery to nearly 15,000 barrels in just a few years.  After a collaborative partnership with Oskar Blues Brewery expanded sought after, draft-only brews to cans last year as the distinction of Perrin's creative and quality brews heightened.

Colorado craft beer fans will be the first out-of-state scene to get their hands on draft and cans of Perrin's core beers: 98 Problems IPA, No Problems "A Session IPA", and Perrin Black Ale. Perrin Brewing's current seasonal beer, the hotly anticipated Grapefruit IPA, will also be available now followed by Blackberry IPA later this summer. These brews will be available at retail throughout Colorado as well as at Oskar Blues taprooms and fooderies.

"Through our collaboration with Oskar Blues Brewery we've felt a natural extension of our hometown passion for craft beer.  We've been blown away with the Colorado craft beer scene and we're excited to bring Perrin's commitment to quality to the home of craft beer in-a-can." stated Keith Klopcic, President of Perrin Brewing.

Launch Events:
More about the Perrin Brewing Lineup

Perrin Black ABV 5.8% IBU 25: A light bodied, crisp and flavorful dark ale with hints of semi-sweet chocolate and soft nuances of fresh coffee.  This beer is very counterintuitive in the way that it pours dark as night but tastes like a lighter beer encompassing a range of full flavors.

98 Problems IPA ABV 6.5% IBU 60: Our IPA accomplishes the nearly impossible feat of balancing a sweet malty backbone along with a blend of west coast hops, which creates a crisp bitterness and imparts massive floral and citrus aromas.  This is how an IPA should taste!

No Problems "A Session IPA" ABV 4.5% IBU 45: Weaved carefully under the hop bitterness lies a light, semi-sweet malt body, that finishes in a crisp N' clean fashion. Features aromatics of fresh citrus fruits, ripened melon and a distinctive floral bouquet.

Grapefruit IPA ABV 5% IBU 35: With aromas of citrus and tropical fruits, a delicate grapefruit tartness and a sweet malty backbone ending in a clean finish; This IPA is the first of its kind.

Perrin and Oskar Blues kicked off their relationship in 2014 with a collaboration lager brewed at Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont, CO. That collaboration brew developed into a partnership aligning years of large-scale growth, expansion experience, and resources of Oskar Blues with the opportunities of Perrin's strong local following to help both breweries strengthen their position in an era of increasing competition.

Pale Ale, it’s only fitting the summer seasonal becomes the city’s newest super hero. Portland Brewing teamed up with local icon, Dark Horse Comics, to create a one-of-a-kind comic book cover in honor of S.M.A.S.H.

Ft. Collins, Colo., April 12, 2016 – As part of its 25th anniversary celebration New Belgium Brewing is going back to its roots to pair up with four Belgian Breweries for its 2016 Lips of Faith portfolio. Lips of Faith offers quarterly beers that push the envelope on flavor, process and ingredient.

Transatlantique Kriek
This year started with the re-release of Transatlantic Kriek, New Belgium’s longest –running collaboration project since 2003’s version with Frank Boon. Transtalantic Kriek is a tart cherry lambic brewed for the second time with Oude Beersel brewery in Beersel, Belgium. Oude Beersel starts with a true spontaneously fermented cherry kriek and then New Belgium blends that base beer with 25 percent sour Felix from its wood foeders and 25 percent golden lager. The result is a beautifully balanced kriek beer, New Belgium’s first true sour collaboration, with plenty of pucker power, a tart cherry snap and wonderfully dry finish.

Transatlantique Kriek is 8 percent ABV and is available throughout 2016 in 22-oz. bombers and on draft.

Hof ten Dormaal Golden Ale
Hof ten Dormaal debuted this April in 12-oz four-packs, marking a packaging first for Lips of Faith beers, which were formerly found only in bombers and on draft. This beer is a collaboration with the Jannsens family, which runs Hof ten Dormaal in Tildonk, Belgium, pairing Old World ingredients with new world innovation. The Jannsens provided their Belgium yeast strain, giving delicate pear, banana and clove notes to the beer. Spelt, malted sunflower seeds, and wild carrot herbs provide a nutty, bready and grassy wash. Add in Saaz and Mosaic hops and you have spicy, tropical accents and a taste of the Belgian countryside in every sip.

Hof ten Dormaal is 7 percent ABV, 20 IBUs, and is now available in 12-oz four-packs and on draft. To learn more about the collaboration check out Hof ten Doormaal Collaboration, which includes a behind-the-scenes video on making this golden ale.

De Koninck Flowering Citrus Ale
De Koninck Flowering Citrus Ale, a collaboration with Antwerp, Belgium’s historic De Koninck Brewery, will release this summer. This beer will offer a pop of key lime and lemons. The fragrance of hibiscus, rose petals and strawberry-tinged Mistral hops will make it the ideal beer for soaking in summer days.

De Koninck Flowering Citrus Ale is 7.4 percent ABV, 30 IBUs, and will be available in four-packs and on draft June 20, 2016.

Anne-Françoise Spiced Dark Strong Ale
The final beer in this Belgian-collaboration series is a spiced dark strong ale. Deep into Belgium’s Forêt d'Orval two brave brewmasters—Orval’s first female brewmaster Anne-Françoise Pypaert and New Belgium’s Peter Bouckaert—crafted Spiced Dark Strong Ale. They brought spruce tips and medium-toasted American oak to this brooding chocolaty beer, and then wove deeply herbal French Sprisselspalt and spicy Liberty and Willamette hops into the mix. A dash of grains of paradise offers a beam of citrusy light.

Anne-Françoise Spiced Dark Strong Ale is 9.5 percent ABV, 25 IBUs, and will be available in four-packs and on draft October 3, 2016.

Popular Mixed-up 12-pack Gets Update with Addition of Oskar Blues IPA

Longmont, CO & Brevard, NC - Oskar Blues Brewery is bringing more variety to the canned craft-beer world with the addition of Oskar Blues IPA (6.43 ABV, 65-80 IBUs) to its popular mixed up 12-pack, CANundrum. Old Chub Scottish Ale will pull out of the CANundrum to be replaced by OB IPA.

OB IPA joins the existing CANundrum staples, Mama's Little Yella Pils, Dale's Pale Ale and Pinner Throwback IPA. Oskar Blues IPA, released in 2015 and immediately becoming a brewery favorite, features a variety of hand-selected, southern-hemisphere hops creating sweet aromas of passion fruit, raspberries, pineapple and citrus paired with a clean backbone and mouth-feel.

"Old Chub has been a steady staple, but with the popularity of OB IPA, we couldn't deny the introduction into CANundrum," said Tim Matthews, Oskar Blues' Head of Brewing Operations. "The flavor profile is a unique complement to the other brews in the lineup."

CANundrum launched in 2013 and has since become one of the brewery's top selling brands fueled by nearly 75% growth in 2015. CANundrum is an easy way to pick up four popular Oskar Blues brews for trips to the lake, trailside or at music festivals into one convenient pack.

Grab a CANundrum wherever you shop in the 49 states in which Oskar Blues is sold.

Breakside Brewery Releases India Golden Ale, Rainbows & Unicorns IPA and New Fat Head's Brewing collaboration

Courtesy of Breakside Brewing
Portland & Milwaukie, Oregon -
Breakside Brewery is chasing a green and gold rainbow to hop heaven with the release of new seasonals IGA (India Golden Ale) and Rainbows & Unicorns IPA and new Fat Head's Brewing collaboration - Pulp Free IPA. The popular seasonal IGA, a golden colored light bodied double IPA is being released in 22oz bottles and draft now. Rainbows & Unicorns was originally designed for the 2015 Oregon Brewers Fest and showcases two "new" hop varietals Galaxy and Eldorado. Both beers will be on tap at the release party for new Breakside & Fat Head's Brewing collaboration "Pulp Free IPA" this Friday, April 15, 2016 at The Growler Guys in SE Portland.

About India Golden Ale double IPA
This beer first debuted as a collaboration with our good friends at Ninkasi Brewing. It was a trendsetter when it was first released on draft, as it highlights the route that lots of new hop bombs are headed: light in body, lighter in color, and HUGE in citrus flavor and aroma.

India Golden Ale or "I.G.A." is a showcase for two relatively new hops, Mosaic and Eldorado. Mosaic gives the beer a bright mix of stonefruit and tropical flavors along with a big piney backbone. Eldorados are fruity and soften the finish. We keep the malt bill incredibly simple to allow the hops to take center stage in this elegant and refreshing beer.

Malts: 2 Row, Munich,
Hops: Newport, Eldorado, Mosaic, Chinook
8.1% ABV  80 IBU

About Rainbows & Unicorns IPA
We are excited to continue a new series of draft-only IPAs with this popular session beer. Originally designed for the 2015 Oregon Brewers Fest, Rainbows & Unicorns showcases two of our favorite "new" hop varietals Galaxy and Eldorado. Galaxy provides juicy notes that are reminiscent of peach and apricot; Eldorado is pure pineapple juice with some underlying lime zest. We back these up with a healthy dose of Comet hops, which is a heritage hop varietal, overlooked for many years and now gaining popularity again due to its intense stone fruit and citrus character.

This beer is also a foray into the "juicier" and "sweeter" style of hoppy beer that is wildly hyped elsewhere in the US. We admire the clean, pure hop flavors that these beers show, and we've massaged our version with just enough Northwest edge to make it our own.
Brewed in small batches and released in limited quantity during the first months of 2016, this beer will be extremely fresh until it quickly disappears.

Malts: Two Row, Maris Otter, Flaked Rice, Light Crystal
Hops: Eldorado, Galaxy, Comet
5.1% ABV  30 IBU

Our take on the new-school IPA featuring juicy and tropical varietals like Mosaic, Citra, and Eldorado. Ghostfish Brewing Releases Kai Dog Red IPA

Courtesy of Ghostfish Brewing
Seattle, WA – They say that a dog is a man’s best friend. One dog, in particular has become the friend of many who have visited the taproom of Ghostfish Brewing Company.

Kai Dog Red IPA, the seventh packaged beer release from Ghostfish Brewing pays tribute to Kai, the brewery’s friendly golden retriever and unofficial mascot. A brilliant red body with a playful malt personality, greeting everyone with a friendly hop-forward bark.

“Kai has been a loyal supporter and constant companion to us since the beginning of this crazy adventure. You simply could not ask for a more devoted fan of everything Ghostfish. This amazing IPA is a tribute to his abundant contribution to what we are doing here.” said Randy Schroeder, Kai’s human and brewery co-owner.

The earthy and full-bodied buckwheat malt flavor provides support for a bold mix of Citra, El Dorado, and Calypso hops. “Buckwheat as a base malt is really unique. It has an earthy sweetness with cinnamon and strawberry overtones and it seems to amplify the more aggressive and aromatic components of most hop varieties – perfect for an IPA!” said Brewmaster Jason Yerger.

In addition to being 100 percent gluten-free, this beer is also made with no rice, corn or cane sugar. At 6.0 percent ABV, it’s complex, playful and deftly balanced. Available in 22 oz. glass bottles throughout the spring and summer months in the brewery’s taproom and a wide distribution throughout Western Washington.

Daily Pale is a hop-forward IPA with lower ABV. Using lots of Citra, Galaxy and Centennial hops, its bright aroma and flavor profile is driven by passionfruit, peach and citrus with a juicy malt backbone to support the waves of hops. At 4.9 percent ABV and 55 IBU, it is thirst quenching, balanced and focused on hop flavor and aroma, with a crisp, clean finish.

The name “Daily Pale” provides a connection with the daily newspaper and goes back to the idea that you can enjoy this beer every day given its lower alcohol level. It’s also a pun on pail, which harkens back to the 1800s when people would get their daily beer in open metal pails (or “growlers”) from their local tavern.
