April 13, 2016 – Bend, Oregon – Deschutes Brewery is kicking off its 2016 Street Pub Tour in Arlington, Virginia in conjunction with the Taste of Arlington festival. The brewery is bringing its pop-up pub of epic proportions and setting up shop on Sunday, May 15 from noon to 7pm.  The ultimate craft beer block party, this 402-foot custom bar will be pouring beers from 60 taps serving as the official beer garden for the Taste of Arlington along Wilson Boulevard in Ballston. At each of its national stops, Deschutes Brewery works with local nonprofits to raise funds and gives 100% of the proceeds to aid their mission. In Arlington, Deschutes Brewery has teamed up with Ballston BID/BallstonGives to benefit the Arlington Food Assistance Center.

Not only will there be a huge selection of Deschutes Brewery beers flowing from the Street Pub’s multitude of taps, but they are teaming up with a hand full of local Virginia breweries as specialty guest taps and live music from White Ford Bronco, The Big Payback, Kelly Bell Band and Lost in Paris. To top it off, there will be great food to pair with all these ales from over 50 local Arlington restaurants. Deschutes Brewery’s corporate executive chef, Jeff Usinowicz, is teaming up with local chefs and restaurants (the cornerstone of the Taste of Arlington Festival) to create some dishes that complement the many beers being served (think everything from the brand-new Hop Slice Session IPA all the way to the big and bold flavors of The Abyss).
