Ghost Runners Brewery Anniversary Party and Ghost Run

VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON October 1, 2015 - Ghost Runners Brewery announces their anniversary party and Ghost Run to be held at the brewery on Saturday, October 24, 2015. The Ghost Run is an annual event that started in 2012 with the launching of Ghost Runners Brewery.

“The first Ghost Run was a huge celebration,” explains brewery partner, Amy Seibel. “Our federal and state licensing had just been finalized. The dream of owning a brewery was a reality. It seemed fitting to get dressed up in costumes, invite 50 of our closest friends, and go for a run.”

The event has been repeated each year, but from different locations. The first Ghost Run left from the owners’ house and went through neighborhoods. The second and third Ghost Runs took place in downtown Vancouver.  This year the event will be held at Ghost Runner’s new 10 barrel brewery and taproom located on Minnehaha Street in Vancouver.

The event is a celebration and an opportunity to exercise. The Ghost Run will be mapped out to 3 miles, but running is not a required. “We’ve found that when adults gather together in costumes they are more interested in hanging out and having fun than racing,” says Seibel. “Every year some people walk, some people take interesting short cuts, and some people stay back and drink. At this event running is optional, costumes are mandatory.”  The event will have food, beer, music, a costume contest, and raffle prizes for ticket holders.  Tickets start at $25 per person and are available at
