Last week Redhook dropped a nice little surprise that its going back to its Seattle roots and actively seeking a location in the Ballard or the Fremont neighborhoods to build a new brewpub, opening in 2017. Redhook will keep current Woodinville and Portsmouth, N.H. locations open. On the heels of that announcement is the coming release of new retro package design for the popular ESB that includes new 16oz retro/tallboy cans (only available in Washington) and Redhooks participation in the 2015 Seattle Beer Week, see events below.

Redhook Events - May 7 through May 17, 2015.
May 9: Bell + Whete, “ESB and Whiskey Pairing.” Redhook has teamed up with
Westland Distillery to create a Redhook ESB and whiskey flight. Redhook brewer Nick
Crandall and Westland master distiller Matt Hofmann perfectly paired three
variations of ESB, original, oak aged and dry hopped with the Westland flagship,
Peated Malt, and Sherry Wood. Bell + Whete will be hosting the event on May 9 at
7pm. Reservations through Bell + Whete.

May 12: Bitterroot, “Meat and Greet.” Redhook Brewery and Bitterroot are teaming
up with Hilliard’s Beer to bring a one-of-kind beer and meat pairing. Beers from both
breweries, including a brand new collaboration Ballard Brown Ale, will be paired side-
by-side with delicious, hand-crafted meat offerings from Bitterroot BBQ in Ballard.
