PORTLAND, Ore. – April showers bring May flowers, or in the case of Cascade Brewing, sour ales made with flowers. Cascade Brewing will present its inaugural Sour Flower Fest May 18 through May 21 at its two Portland pubs, the Cascade Brewing Barrel House at 939 SE Belmont St; and the Raccoon Lodge and Brewpub at 7424 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy. The event is free to attend, beer sampling costs additional.

The Sour Flower Fest will debut a half dozen new small batch blends made with floral ingredients. Look for Desert Bloom, Cherry Blossom, Pistil Whipped, Hop Flower Sour and Bees Knees, as well as Hips and Tips, a non sour; these will be available at both pub locations. In addition, the Cascade Brewing Barrel House will be serving Bouquet of Flowers, Rose City Sour, Vintage Strawberry, and a floral themed live barrel that will tap on May 15 and pour through the festival.
